Declarant Import & Customs Specialist – Air Freight
As a Declarant Import & Customs Specialist, you are the heart of our import team. You ensure that customs processes and import shipments run smoothly and actively contribute to improving our working methods.
What will you do?
• Coordinating and controlling customs clearances together with the declarant
• Advising colleagues on customs questions and regulations
• Participating in the daily import operation (document control, status updates, customer contact)
• Coordinating with internal and external parties to ensure smooth shipments
• Proactively identifying deviations and informing customers
• Executing and monitoring AEO controls and compliance
• Suggesting process improvements for more efficient work
What we ask of you
• Experience with customs declarations and customs processes
• Knowledge of import processes and associated documentation
• Good communication skills in Dutch and English
• Completed training as a declarant or the ambition to achieve this
• Stress-resistant and able to maintain an overview
Nice to have
• Experience with AOG shipments
• Experience with customs systems and/or ERP
