Operations Agent Import / Customer Service – Air Freight

Description

As Operations Agent Import, you are responsible for the smooth handling of our air freight import shipments. You monitor the entire process: from booking flights, arranging customs declarations to informing customers about the progress of their shipment. You make sure everything is right — on time, correctly and according to the rules.
What are you going to do, among other things?
  • Full coordination, planning and monitoring of air freight import shipments.
  • Ensuring the various customs declarations and timely presence of all necessary documentation.
  • Organizing deliveries/pick-ups from external carriers and monitoring progress (Track & Trace).
  • Actively and proactively inform customers about status, details, delivery times, additional costs or deviations.
  • Correct administrative handling and invoicing of files.
  • Backup for export activities in the absence of colleagues (if necessary).
Compliance with safety regulations, quality standards and internal protocols.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar import function within air freight/logistics.
Knowledge of customs procedures, legislation and regulations regarding air freight and import documentation.
  • Good command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
  • Solution-oriented, proactive and strong communication skills.
  • Flexible and independent, but also a team player who enjoys working together.
  • Living within a radius of 20 km from Aalsmeer.
  • Willingness to continue developing yourself within the logistics sector.
